Flying Services offered

Instructing for an ATO out of Redhill Aerodrome, I teach pilots from ab-initio level up to and including CPL and Instrument Rating. I mainly concentrate on advanced training courses (CPL & IR) as well as MEP, Aerobatics and Night Ratings.

Furthermore, I value using “biennial” instructional flights to give pilots the opportunity to revise less frequently practised manoeuvres and to explore more of the aircraft’s operating envelope.

Did you know...?

The IMC Rating (now know as the Restricted Instrument Rating [IR(R)] can be taught outside of an ATO, so can be carried out in your own aircraft.

I can revalidate your PPL, LAPL and IMC Rating [now IR(R)].

Alternatively, I can also help with mock tests & brush-ups ahead of an MEP / IR / ME-IR revalidation.

Are you stepping up to a new or more complex aircraft?

This may include differences training for variable pitch propeller and retractable undercarriage, leading to the sign-off in your logbook.

Likewise, I also provide familiarisation training on many aircraft types at a pace to suit you.

Hourly rates will be agreed in advance.

Are you looking to start spreading your wings? I can offer pre-flight planning advice or in-seat accompaniment for the following (and more!):

  • cross-Channel flights or checkouts
  • farmstrip flying
  • confidence building or “broadening horizons” flights
  • touring and flight planning

Do you need help with collecting or delivering an aircraft either within the UK or Europe? Alternatively, do you need to be flown to or from your maintenance organisation to collect/deliver your aircraft? If so, I can help.

Are you considering setting up a group or becoming a member of a syndicate? I am an experienced Trustee of a group aeroplane, so can provide practical advice about the process, perks and pitfalls as part of the flying services offered.

Did you know that AOPA has devised the Flying Companion’s Certificate Course to increase the enjoyment, participation and confidence in flying for those who regularly accompany private pilots. This also includes the safe recovery and landing at an appropriate airfield as a result of an emergency.

The course consists of a minimum of eight hours dual flying conducted within a period of 12 months. This would normally be undertaken in the type of aircraft which is regularly flown, with the student taking control from the appropriate passenger seat.

More information about this course can be found in my news article here.

Redcat Aviation services offered fear of flying course

I understand that not everyone finds the sensation of flight enjoyable. I have proven experience in working with passengers who have a fear of flying, at their own pace, until they feel more relaxed and confident in the air. This investment really could make all the difference to the sorts of flights you undertake with your family and friends in future.
